Face Your Fears

The Lovey Project proudly presents our first annual “Face Your Fears” Halloween Ball and Fundraiser. This Halloween Eve, Friday, October 31, 2025, at Cheney Mansion in Oak Park, IL from 7-11pm.

Mission: The Lovey Project is a non-profit charitable foundation focused on mental wellness for children ages 3-13 and their families. In order to help fund all of our 2025-26 programming, events, workshops and Lovey wish fulfillment for children in all communities and to begin work on a Lovey Project building that will house all of this programming under one roof, we are throwing one “KILLER” fundraising ball.

Attire: BLACK “TIE”

Costumes: Optional! Prizes will be awarded for – Best Dressed, Best Hair, Best Make-up, Best Theme, Best Couple, Best Group, Creepiest and Most Original

Tickets: Only 200 available! $225 per ticket or $400 for two

VIP Packages: Including Limo rides, special SWAG bags, custom cocktails, reserved seating and more – start at $1,000 per group

Event Highlights

Visit our many Halloween-themed rooms and attractions:

FACE YOUR FEARS FOREST – you can’t even get to the ball without first surviving the zombies, ghosts and creepy-crawlers lurking in the haunted graveyard and spooky laser swamp.

CREEPY CARNIVAL – The only thing missing here is Pennywise. You’ll have the chance to have your Tarot Cards read, get your fortune from Zoltar the all-knowing (from the movie “BIG”), have a staged selfie with monsters, win a prize from a “CLAW” machine and be mesmerized by a zombie magician.

WITCHES HOLLOW – Do you dare reach for an appetizer? Enter the witches’ lair for tricks and treats. Are you brave enough to try what’s bubbling in their cauldrons or reach in to their “face your fears” nooks and crannies?

PIRATE’S CAVE – X marks the spot for “Foggy Grog” and other crazy concoctions to imbibe, as well as a haunted treasure chest guarded by an over-served pirate and danger lurking in every shadowy corner.

HAUNTED HALLWAYS – Are you sneaking through a mausoleum? A possessed pumpkin patch? Hotel California? Maybe all three? Walk the halls and see!

SILENT AUCTION – Opens at 7pm on 10/31, open to non-attendees, as well. On-line bidding available. Closes promptly at 10:30p. Winners announced before 11pm. Winner present at time of announcement can take prizes with them. All others will be shipped/delivered within one week. Auction items will be available for viewing on the website by September 2025.

RAFFLE – Four SURPRISE RAFFLE items available. Raffle Tickets can be purchased for $5 apiece, $40 for 10 tickets or $100 for 25 tickets. Open to non-attendees, as well. Raffle winners will be announced at 10:30pm. SURPRISE items will be available for viewing on the website no more than one week before the event.

LIVE AUCTION – Three “HAUNTED” vacation trips to be auctioned off at 10:15pm. Trips are: Haunted Galena, IL (3-day, 2-night); Haunted Savannah, GA (3-day, 2-night); Haunted Caribbean (5-day, 4-night). More details available on the website in September 2025.

7:15-10:15 – Tarot Card readings (scheduled in advance; 10 minutes each)

7:30-9:30 – Roaming Zombie Magician

9:30-10:30 – Witches Hollow Dessert Bar

10:15 – LIVE AUCTION and Short Presentation

10:30 – Costume and Raffle Winners announced, Silent Auction closes

10:30-11pm – Collect SWAG bags, all winning items and THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING EVENT
